Each of these 15" blocks are named for people from American history --
with the exception of one. 54/40 Or Fight was a political slogan when James Polk was running for president and
refers to a dispute over the northern boundaries of the Oregon Territory. Each block is described on its own page, with
a paragraph telling who the person was that the block was named for, and cutting and piecing instructions for making the block. This
is a good block of the month, or to make a wonderful quilt.
